I have been taking Synthroid for a few years now and my dosage is 0.88mcg. It used to be 100 mcg but I begged my dr to lower it because I was having mad anxiety, etc and I think it was from that. I feel like my PCP and my endo do not listen to me. I have had a few awful migraines with auras this year and every month (period time) I am struck with horrible debilitating headaches. I also have spotting in between periods that I never had before I was on snythroid. When I tell my dr's about this they just say oh that's normal and shrug it off. I am tired of having so many headache days per month. I asked a pharmacist and they said that synthroid could cause headaches because in some cases it acts similar to caffeine. I also have trouble sleeping most nights and have to take something to fall asleep, which i do not like doing. My hair is also very oily and dandruffy  since I began taking synthroid 2+ years ago. I  just want someone to listen to me. I feel better when my TSH is higher and no one seems to care. They just look at labs and want what is the "Normal" range.

Yes, its certainly possible you have too much Synthroid. It's also possible that your autoimmune condition has progresses to the point that you now have different antibodies floating about that can mimic over medication (including headaches).

If you can share your latest labs with reference ranges, it would be very helpful!

Papillary cancer with lymph node involvement
Total Thyroidectomy 8/29/11
TSH 71.17 on 9/14/11
RAI 100mci 9/23/11
Starting point for replacement meds: 50 mcgs of Synthroid, TSH 121.88 on 11/8/11; 100 mcgs of Synthroid, TSH 43.21 on 12/9/11; 137 mcgs of Synthroid, TSH 7.88 on 1/11/12; TSH 8.38 on 2/9/12, 150 mcgs of Synthroid, TSH 2.81 on 3/27/12, TSH 0.54 on 5/8/12, TSH 0.78 on 8/8/12, TSH 0.39 on 12/20/12, TSH 0.24 on 3/5/13, TSH 0.33 on 4/15/14, TSH .12 on 3/10/15, TSH 0.21 on 9/15/2016, TSH .12 on 2/17/17.

My last TSH was 0.94  - definitely under 1 and that was at the end of March. I am due for new labs at the beginning of July. My endo only tests TSH - should I be requesting other tests?

Oh gosh, yes!

Always always always test free t4 and free t3. Given your symptoms, I'd run a full antibody panel to include TPO, TSI, and Tg/TgAB.

I thought so! I swear, no doctor ever listens to me! I just checked and my TSH was 0.54 when I went to the dr. late March. My Free T4 was 1.00 in September 2017 and my TSH was 0.96 in September. That is interesting that antibiotics can mimic overmedication. I appreciate all of your help. I get my TSH tested again at the end of this month and we shall see what it is. I am not due to see my doctor again until October :( Perhaps I can request the tests, however! Thank you.
