Im new on here and newly diagnosed Hashimotos Hypothyroid.
I have cut out gluten for several yrs due to noticing foods just made me feel tired, bloated, just overall bleh
About 2 wks before my diagnosis I also cut out dairy for the time being and sugar
I dropped weight right away. My weight had been gradually climbing but I figured thats because of not exercising as I used to have a routine and the past 5 yrs I havent.
Im down 6 pds so far. Which I usually only budge a pd or 2.
What am I doing Now?
No Dairy, Gluten or Sugar
Eating a lot of big healthy green salads full of greens and veggies, healthy spice (tumeric, cayenne, oregano, Braggs Kelp Sprinkles) apple cider vinegar, dash of Olive Oil, avocado and sprouted items
Back to daily juicing (half a granny apple, celery stalk, 3 carrots, ginger, lemon, half a cucumber, and some green(either Spinach or Kale) I got this drink from Fat Sick and Nearly dead film years ago and it totally alleviated my feeling off with my blood sugar, but ive neglected juicing the past yr, now Im back to drinking it daily or getting some from the Nat Juice bar down the street.
Cut down on meat intake, we used to eat it for almost every meal, now eating it around twice week, and making the veggies and salad the large portion of the meal and the meat more like the side.
Im just tired of feeling crummy, and I began to feel worse after eating snacks with sugar, which has always been my weakness but it got to the point where the splurge wasnt worth it anymore as I hate how I felt after. So I was ready for a big food change.
Curious how others are doing, what are they eating that is working and what foods do you notice make you feel crummy? Any others losing weight?
