Alexis Contin is a 27-year-old French speed skater who was diagnosed with GD in January - a month before the Olympics. He withdrew from 2 events, but is still competing in 2 speed skating events in Sochi (10,000m and team pursuit).
While I'm not sure of the severity of his condition, it's nice to see a success story. I always get excited when I find out a high-profile person has GD... we're all only human.

Wow, I am really impressed. Graves really kicked my butt for a long time. I could barely get through a day let alone carry out an Olympian's schedule. Thanks for posting this encouraging news!
